Based on a next generation solid state lighting technology introduced in 2017, the Prizmatix HB-PS delivers safe high luminance white light from an incredibly small point source.
The emitter in the source is small enough to replace lamps and other traditional point sources in application traditionally needing expensive bulbs such as Schlieren Imaging, Shadowgraphy. When collimated the beam has extremely low divergence and has been used successfully in PIV and light sheet macroscopy.
This configuration has dual output. A removable ½ inch collimation lens delivers a collimated oblong beam with very low divergence (13mRad full angle) for applications such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and light sheet macroscopy. When removed the uncollimated light source is ideal as a virtual point source for Schlieren Imaging and other applications needing a point source.
Control includes fast TTL, Analog and power dial.
